About the Job:
We are currently interviewing for line cooks, prep station and pizza station at The '401 Table and Tap. Responsibilities will include food prep, setting up and cleaning work stations, and preparing and cooking food in cooperation with the kitchen staff. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service to join us in our high-energy, family-friendly, community-oriented restaurant.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Willingness to work with others.
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.
- Proven experience working as a cook preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
- Time-management skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- The ability to follow recipes.
- The ability to work in a team.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Bilingual preferred - strong communication skills.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
Cook Responsibilities:
- Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
- Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
- Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
- Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
- Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
- Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
